Drop Rate Buffs - PvP Tournaments - Fountain of Slaughter - Loadouts - QoL - Bug Fixes

Hello everyone,

This will probably be the most awaited-for update ever, but it does bring in a lot of cool additions to the server that will help us with the upcoming ad campaign. We figured it'd be best to release the updates now and make sure everything goes smoothly as there are major changes coming in. These patches include big drop rate buffs (~30%+ to most uniques), raid drop rate buffs, client/cache upgrade (to revision #208), loadout system (replaces old preset system), and much more.

 

PvP Tournaments

Tournaments are a new feature that can be accessed via the new area east of home. Tournaments are automatically scheduled every day with a rest period of four hours in between each one. (6 tournaments per day)

  • Everyone will have up to five minutes to enter the tournament after it becomes accessible through the Tournament crystal.
    • You can view the schedules through the crystal's "View" option.
  • Every participant will receive max stats upon entering the tournament area. (their stats will be restored upon leaving)
  • Each tournament has a theme which will dictate the type of loadout every participant will spawn in with.
    • No arm
    • Dharok
    • Med pure
    • Max pure
    • Med hybrid
    • No honour
    • Max strength
  • You can customise the tournament loadout for each type through the Tournament crystal's "Loadouts" option.
  • Overhead prayers are disabled in every tournament, except No honour tournaments.

The automatic tournaments grant points for participation, each opponent you defeat and for placing within the top four.

  • Participation (must stay to end of tournament): +1 point
  • Opponents defeated: +1 point per opponent
  • First place: 10 points
  • Second place: 5 points
  • Fourth/Third place: 3 points

You can spend these points by trading Justine near the Tournament crystal.
Administrators can create tournaments where we can give custom rewards to the winners, including items or custom rewards.

 

Fountain of Slaughter

This fountain is the same concept as the Well of Sacrifice, except that the items you trade in are Mysterious emblems (T1-T5), which are only rewarded through Wilderness activities. The Fountain of Slaughter offers Perks, Armoury and Misc item rewards.

Mysterious emblems can be obtained from either killing players or doing Wilderness Slayer tasks.

  • Upon killing a player you will receive a random T3-T5 emblem (T3 having more weight, T5 having less, etc).
    • If you have an emblem in your inventory, it will be upgraded instead.
  • Upon killing a Slayer task in the Wilderness, you have the same chance as a Larran's key to receive a T1 emblem.
    • If you roll a T1 emblem, there is then a 1/3 chance of it turning into a T5 instead.
    • If you receive a T5 emblem, you will be teleblocked for one minute and a message will be broadcast to the server.
  • Upon completing a Wilderness Slayer task you will receive a random T1-T5 emblem (same concept as PvP)
    • If you have an emblem in your inventory, it will be upgraded instead.

Perks

  • Bloodthirsty: Receive +25% more Blood money in the Wilderness.
  • Gold Digger: Receive 100% gld from target's broken untradeables on kill.
  • Larran's Gift: 50% chance of obtaining double loot from Larran's chest.
  • Loadout Upgrade: Upgrade loadout manager to save spellbook, rune pouch and discovery class.
  • Big Head: +1 addition drop roll from Glod. (if you receive a drop)
  • Double Trouble: Receive double Slayer points from Wilderness tasks.
  • Heraldry: +10% chance of receiving Mysterious emblem drops.
  • Ghostbuster: +10% damage on Revenants with all combat styles. (excluding cannon)
  • Bargain Hunter: 10% discount in Justine's Tournament Shop.
  • Ethernal: Wilderness weapons no longer consume Ether.
  • Endless Pockets: Receive 25% more Blood money when turning in emblems at the Revenant Cave.
  • Skillfully Skulled: Receive 30% more XP in the Wilderness while skulled.
  • Wildly Resourceful: Receive 2x resources from Hunter, Fishing, Woodcutting and Mining in the Wilderness.
  • Bear Trap: Damage from Callisto is halved.
  • Daddy Short Legs: Damage from Venenatis is halved.
  • Mummy Complex: Vet'ion now dies after Phase 1.

Armoury

  • PvP weapons and armour can be purchased from this tab for 5000 points. These items all have 10,000 charges of use, after which they will completely degrade and turn to dust.
  • Dragon crossbow and Abyssal tentacle can also be purchased here.

  • Blighted magic spell sacks

  • Trouver parchment (note: does not currently function, will be added next patch)

 

Loadouts (Presets)

 

The old Preset system has been replaced with Loadouts. This does mean that any preset you had already made will no longer be there on the new system, but hopefully the other features Loadouts bring will offset the inconvenience.

 

PvP QoL + Bug Fixes

  • Larran's keys will now always drop in PvP.
  • Platinum tokens will now always drop in PvP.
  • The following items now drop their upgrade kit:
    • Granite maul ornate
    • Granite maul ornate (or)
    • Rune defender (t)
    • Dragon defender (t)
  • Fixed granite maul special ignoring melee protection prayer.
  • Amulet of Avarice now has the Salve amulet passive against Revenants.

 

Raid Unique rates

Along with the rate changes there is now a change to how Server Events affect all raid's unique drop rates.
The event multipliers are now stored when you first enter the raid rather than when you open the rewards chest/tomb.

Chambers of Xeric (Challenge Mode)

  • Unique drop rate buffed: 1/11 >>> 1/8

Chambers of Xeric

  • Uniques are now rolled for each player individually based on personal points.
  • Prayer scrolls have been removed from the unique loot table and moved to a secondary table.
    • Uniques and scrolls are now rolled separately. You can receive both within a single chest.
    • To make up for the weight of scrolls being removed from the unique table, the point divisor for uniques has been increased
      • points / 7125 >>> points / 10125
      • The divisor will stay as 7125 for the scroll table.
  • Olmet will only roll on unique drops and not scroll drops.
    • To make up for this change, the static rate has been buffed from: 1/53 >>> 1/37
  • Olmlet pet drop rate is now affected by perks.
    • This was an oversight on normal CoX and not Challenge Mode.

With these changes unique drop rates have been buffed by around 30-50% and prayer scrolls have been buffed by about 2x.

Well of Sacrifice

  • Serenity pet is now awarded upon unlocking all perks.
  • Clued-in perk now applies for the following:

Nex

  • Blood reaver health now scales based on team size. Health = (team_size * 50); this value is capped at 150. (Reaver would have a maximum of 150 health in team size of 3+)
  • Players imprisoned by Nex can break themselves out if in a solo team.
  • Avarice Memories Sacrifice perk now works for Nex as well as her four minions.
  • Clued-in Sacrifice perk now works for Nex's Elite clue drop.

 

QoL + Bug Fixes

  • Added Collection log "new item" alert pop-up.
  • Added bank fillers.
  • Added Wilderness combat dummies east of home area.
    • There is a (special) combat dummy which will not drain special attack energy when hit.
  • Added Tackle box to Tempoross rewards.
    • Tackle box can be worn on ammunition slot and work as it would in inventory.
  • Accuracy and damage Discovery relic passives can now stack when used with Duplicity.
  • Relic drop rate effects now work on Cave Krakens.
  • Increased Zaryte crossbow's death protection value to 50m.
  • Moved the player spawn point for Cerberus instance in Dominion Zone.
  • Crystal armour pieces will now drop on death as crystal armour seed in PvP.
  • Noted items gained from drops while wearing Amulet of avarice will now be filled in collection log.
  • Using spellbook swap option from Magic skillcapes will now give a message showing the number of swaps remaining.
  • Dragonbone necklace and Bonecrusher Necklace stats updated (+10 attack bonuses, +2 defence bonuses, +2 strength bonus). Requirement now 70 prayers instead of 80 prayer.
  • Fixed God War Dungeon boss minions staying aggro'd on targets even if they leave the boss room.
  • Fixed Kalphite Queen instance taking the player outside of King Black Dragon entrance on log-out.
